Get a clean bathroom for guests in record time

Everyone wants a sparkling clean home when entertaining guests but often forgets about cleaning one of the grimiest places in the house - the bathroom.

The process of deep cleaning your bathroom isn't as complicated as you might think. However, learning how to clean a bathroom fast can make the time spent with your guests much more enjoyable and stress-free!

Having a clean bathroom is as easy as following these quick steps:

Before you start working towards getting a bathroom cleaned, make sure to wash your hands with antibacterial soap or liquid hand wash to prevent any risks of cross-contamination

Minute 1: Prepare

Gather cleaning cloths, sponges, antibacterial multiuse wipes, glass cleaner, bathroom power cleaner, mop and bucket, toilet brush, and other necessary cleaning equipment and solutions.

In addition to gathering cleaning supplies, you should also be aware of the popular bathroom hygiene hotspots for effective cleaning and disinfection

Minute 2-3: Clean the toilet seat

  • Spray the outside surface of the toilet with the bathroom cleaner.
  • Squirt toilet bowl cleaner inside the bowl and scrub with the toilet brush.
  • While the cleaner is working inside the bowl, wipe down the outside of the toilet, including underneath the seat and behind the toilet bowl.
  • Don’t forget to close the bathroom toilet seat lid before you flush the toilet, to prevent germs and bacteria from getting airborne in the bathroom.
  • Remember: Toilet brushes need cleaning, too. After using, let the toilet brush dry out of the caddy and spray it with antibacterial disinfectant.

Minutes 4-7: Bathtub and/or Shower

There's no compromise when removing or controlling mildew and mold — especially in the place you rely on for clean hygiene. Get a clean bathroom with not a single inch of mold and mildew left behind using the steps below:

  • Spray the entire bathtub or shower area, including shower walls, faucets and heads, with antiseptic liquid or disinfectant spray and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Scrub the walls, faucet, and shower head with a soft sponge, rinse well with hot water, and dry with a cloth/towel.

Minute 8: Mirror

  • Spray the mirror with Dettol’s glass cleaner which effectively removes 99.9% germs, bacteria, and allergens from mirror surfaces.
  • In a side-to-side motion starting at the bottom of the mirror, wipe up the glass cleaner and avoid streaking. Follow up with clean, thick paper to remove all vestiges of spots and streaks.

Minute 9: Sink

The bathroom sink is one of the first to display gunk, grime, hair strands, toothpaste buildup, and more. Not to forget that it also serves as the breeding ground for various germs and bacteria. So here's the best way to clean your bathroom sink:

  • Spray a disinfectant bathroom cleaner inside and out of the bathroom sink and wipe it with a cloth, sponge, or wipes.
  • Don’t forget to clean and disinfect faucet handles, but allow them to remain wet for the required time to eliminate germs.
  • Scrub away toothpaste stains around the faucet and in the sink, and wipe up any dust or grime that has accumulated.

Minute 10: Floor

  • Mop the floor with a multipurpose floor cleaner and warm water. Start with the point furthest from the door and mop in a side-to-side motion.
  • Fumes are bothersome; be sure to open bathroom windows and doors and turn on the fan if you have one, to bring in the fresh air and hurry the drying process.

On your way out, flush the toilet bowl and spray neutra air fresh breeze freshener that kills 99.9% bacteria and leaves the air in your bathroom smelling pure and clean.
